The product/order page here makes no mention that this product contains whey or any milk derived proteins. I also read a review on a fitness site that also did not mention this and even said it may be a good option for vegetarians or people who have problems digesting milk proteins. Both propped up the usage of "gemma' protein, which is simply protein from yellow peas.
I have problems digesting milk proteins, especially whey supplements. so I ordered this.
It contains whey proteins. It gave me the worst bloating/bubblegut that I have ever experienced from a whey protein supplement.
The chocolate flavor tastes really good. Really similar flavor to Optimum Nutrition's Nitro 64 chocalte/caramel flavor.
I would not recommend this product at all to anyone who has trouble digesting milk proteins or to a Vegan.
I would recommend this to someone with a bomb proof stomach because this is some of the best bang for the buck proteins you can get. It has a good protein blend and seems to have a higher than average amount of amino acids.
I'm not going to totally knock this because of the misrepresentation going on. For what it actually is, its a pretty good product at a great price. They could stand to improve the digestability, though. Even my stomach can digest Muscle Milk pretty well. LG would be wise to get to a similar level of digestability. |
